Cryotherapy

The very basic meaning of cryotherapy is “cold” and “therapy” This type of cold-therapy enables the body to activate all of its natural healing abilities. The cryosauna experience involves lowering the body’s surface skin temperature from approximately 90.5° F to around 32° F for 2-3 minutes. This is achieved by the use of Nitrogen mist which gently surrounds the body at -238° to -274° F. While in the cryosauna, the body constricts peripheral tissues sending blood from the skin surface, muscle tissue, and surrounding joint space to the core to protect core temperature. As the blood travels to the core it passes through the cardiovascular system where it is cleansed of toxins and supplied with oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes. Once the participant exits the cryosauna, the body immediately returns the enriched blood to peripheral tissues that have been cleansed of toxins.
