Dr. Larry Masarsky is a sports chiropractor at Gray Chiropractic & Wellness Center in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, providing comprehensive, evidence-based chiropractic care for patients of all ages and activity levels.
Raised in suburban Chicago, Dr. Masarsky’s passion for chiropractic began as a competitive athlete. While playing collegiate football at Illinois Wesleyan University, he discovered chiropractic care not just for the treatment of injuries, but as a powerful tool to enhance recovery, resilience, and performance. This reshaped his view of healthcare—from reactive treatment to proactive, whole-body support—and guided him to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree Magna Cum Laude from National University of Health Sciences.
Before joining Gray Chiropractic & Wellness Center, Dr. Masarsky spent 13 years practicing in Miami, Florida, where he owned and operated a successful sports chiropractic clinic. He worked with patients and athletes of all activity levels and collaborated on multidisciplinary teams supporting college athletes in NFL and NBA Combine preparation, as well as professional and collegiate competitors during offseason training and recovery.
His philosophy centers on evidence-based clinical integration: evaluating how biomechanics, movement patterns, soft tissue function, and lifestyle demands interact to cause pain or limit performance. Treatment plans are individualized to each patient’s goals, combining chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, corrective exercise, and practical lifestyle guidance to restore function, prevent recurrence, and promote long-term health.
Committed to ongoing education, Dr. Masarsky regularly participates in workshops and seminars on advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation. He holds advanced certification in Active Release Techniques® (ART®), a highly effective hands-on therapy for overuse and repetitive strain injuries affecting muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. He also has advanced training in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation, running-related injuries, and workplace ergonomics.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Masarsky cherishes time with his wife and their two young children. He enjoys traveling, cooking, discovering new restaurants, and staying active through strength training, golf, and snowboarding—and after years in Miami, he still loves spending time at the beach whenever possible.
Dr. Masarsky is excited to build roots in the Bloomfield Hills community and looks forward to helping patients achieve their personal goals while maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle for years to come.
Chiropractic care is safe for children and can provide a beneficial foundation of health and overall fitness. Physically active young children experience falls and bumps in the course of everyday living, which can result in a variety of symptoms, including back and neck pain, discomfort, sprains, and more! Older kids who participate in organized sports can also experience these symptoms. Chiropractors help children using adjustments and other forms of manual, natural care.
